Andy Forrester’s brand of unique and off the wall humor has made him a fan favorite at clubs everywhere since 1999. Over the years his high energy and animated comedy has landed him spots working with some of the biggest names in comedy like Louie Anderson, Kevin Pollak, Jimmie “JJ” Walker, Marc Maron, Gilbert Gottfried, Rita Rudner and many more. It’s his original and appetizing humor that always leaves audiences begging for more. His likeable, self-deprecating, fun and easy-going style is friendly to everyone as he walks you through the mind and life of the man many call Big “A”. Family, movies, his love for food, and living with his two little girls is a treat for everyone to hear about the crazy life of this family man. In 2008 Andy won the title of Ultimate Comic at the Idiot Box in Greensboro, NC. April of 2013, he won the Louisville, KY satellite of the World Series of Comedy, and was part of the Laugh Your Asheville Off Festival that same year. In 2014 he was chosen to participate in the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival. He is the host of the “Eating It” podcast along with comedian David Tobey and filmed his first TV spot as part of the PureFlix Comedy All-Stars program alongside Louie Anderson. In 2018 he filmed something special with legendary comedian Killer Beaz in Nashville, TN at Zanies as part of the brand new TheComedyBuzz.com. And in August of 2019 his Dry Bar Comedy Special “Most of This Is Baby Fat” was released. He tours all around the country… when his wife and kids let him.

Feature Act: Jay Darrell

Comedian Jay Derrell honed his comedic talents while growing up in Clayton, North Carolina. As a child he often entertained his family and friends with his quick wit and storytelling ability. Jay Derrell is an honorably discharged 10 year veteran of the US Army. During his tour of duty, he enjoyed traveling around the country and performing his routine to fellow soldiers. Jay is also a retired Law Enforcement Officer. With encouragement from Co-workers, family and friends, Jay Derrell began performing at open mic showcases in the Raleigh Durham area in 2006.

A conversation with Comedian Don “DC” Curry encouraged Jay Derrell to seriously pursue a career as a standup comedian and actor. Jay Derrell has become a comedic fixture along the East Coast comedy circuit. He has perform Historical Comedy Clubs Clubs, Private events, and Corporate Gigs across the country. Jay Derrell also performed at The World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas NV.

MC: Rob Ruthenberg

Former nationally touring comedian turned radio and TV host Rob Ruthenberg has been working with some the top talents in comedy such as Adam Sandler. George Carlin, Kevin James, Weird Al Yankovic and more. Working comedy clubs and colleges for over 30 years he is proud to bring is biting observational humor back to the place he has called home most of his life.

The Comedy Zone now makes Mondays better! Stand-Up Comedy Shows are held on the first Monday monthly here at The Clubhouse!
