In 2021 a group of seasoned musicians from across Virginia came together in an area of Fredericksburg known as Crowfoot Bottom. Paying respect to their “hometown”, after realizing their combined musical potential they named the group after that momentous event. It is very hard to explain what a Crowfoot Bottom show is like, other than an experience. Weeks before the show, the level of engagement with the venue, or event staff has been reported as remarkable. So many details and expectations can be worked out ahead of time, to ensure that the audience has the best show experience. Once at a Crowfoot Bottom show the audience will have an interaction with the band like very few bands. Defining the bands musical style is complex because they play a mixture of rock, pop, country, folk and even show tunes. Performances are notable for their 10–20-minute mashups regularly having a set with over 50 songs compared to a 15-song set traditionally performed by most cover bands. Traveling up and down the east coast Crowfoot has made thousands of friends, and has had the honor of playing bars, music venues, private parties, festivals, weddings – you name it while working alongside some of the biggest performers and promoters in the business. The band configuration can range from the full band experience with lights, staging and effects that can be stripped down the next day to a duo or trio electric or electric/acoustic hybrid performance perfect for a quiet setting. Crowfoot Bottom is one only a few bands that when needed can play on a silent stage, meaning that there will be no amplifiers or acoustic drums on stage allowing for total control over the volume of the show. Using high end guitar effects and electronic drums gives the audience a fuller sonic experience that is enjoyable, rather than intrusive.
